Paradise at Home

The safety of our clients and our staff is of paramount importance to us and we are doing our part to prevent the spread of this massive pandemic.

Installing your garden is far safer than shopping:

Besides the obvious risks associated with shops and supermarkets, where one is subjected to being in close personal proximity to numerous strangers, each physical item that you purchase at any shop has been:

  • Placed on a shop shelf by hand (first contact)
  • Picked up from the shelf by at least one customer (second contact)
  • Handled by a teller at the till point. Rubber gloves protect the wearer and still allow for spreading of the virus (third contact)
  • Packed by a packer at the till point. Rubber gloves protect the wearer and still allow for spreading of the virus (fourth contact)
  • Sometimes packed into your car by a car guard (possible fifth contact)
  • Touched by you and whoever helps when un-packing at home
  • Payment presents another problem. The use of a credit card machine typically requires a PIN number to be entered (unless you ‘tap and go’ up to a certain limit) adds a very high risk of exposure from all of the preceding shoppers. Dealing with cash is arguably more risky than using a credit card machine as each bill or coin returned to you as change represents more than one previous shopper.

While we are fortunate enough to:

  • perform the installation of our work outdoors at our clients’ premises
  • not require close contact with our clients
  • not handle products which are then placed in your home

We wish to inform you that:

Garden design:

  • We offer our clients the choice of video conferences in lieu of physical site meetings
(we have well over a decade of experience in successfully working remotely with our national and international clients using this process)
  • Our work is non-invasive and does not impede or intrude on self-isolation, self-quarantine or client privacy.
  • Our staff are tested for fever before the work day starts using a digital thermometer
  • Any employee who feels unwell or exhibits any flu-like symptoms, will be prohibited from working and sent home
  • At our 178,000m2 premises, we perform design work indoors in our very spacious offices, each designer having their own personal work space.
  • We are easily able to allow for our staff and any visitors to be at a safe distance from each other
  • Our managers, designers and on-site supervisors use private transport to and from work
  • We have installed a hand sanitising station at strategic places including the entrance to our offices, for use by both staff and visitors
  • Our staff have been instructed to avoid personal contact and to keep a safe distance from our clients and each another
  • Our staff have been instructed in terms of proper hand washing technique and are encouraged to wash their hands regularly
  • For those clients who do not wish to visit our plant farm for a 3D walk-through of their new garden on our big screen and to see the plant display of the plants used in our design, we are also able to provide a ‘virtual tour’ of the design remotely.

To find out more about us designing your garden remotely, please contact our managing director, Craig de Necker on 082 805 0910.

Garden Installation:

  • Our company is very fortunate in being in an industry that requires outdoor activity as opposed to indoor activity.
  • Each project that we install is allocated an installation manager who is present on site on a daily basis, throughout installation – this ensures a fully supervised installation
  • At our 178,000m2 premises, we propagate plants outdoors and are easily able to allow for our staff and any visitors to be at a safe distance from each other
  • Our labour force either reside on our plant farm or live within walking distance from our premises and therefore avoid taxis and public transport

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients for their continued support during this challenging time.

While many people are self-isolating, this is an ideal time to make use of our non-invasive services in order to transform your outdoor spaces into a more relaxing and comfortable environment in which to spend your time.

Should you have any questions regarding any issues not covered above or should you wish to discuss your specific landscaping requirements, please contact our managing director, Craig de Necker on 082 805 0910.
