Garden World Spring Festival 2011
Platinum Award and Overall Winner 2011

'Miracles of Spring' was the theme of the 2011 Spring Festival at Garden World.

In 2009, our award-winning garden from 2008 was so well received that it has not been broken down to make way for new a garden as the other gardens were. In 2010, we were honoured to have not only our 2008 garden remain, but also our award-winning 2009 garden.

This year we have the honour of presenting four of our gardens at the Garden World Spring Festival. We have our award-winning gardens from 2008, 2009 and 2010 as well as our Best of Show 2011 garden suitably named 'Lazy Days' on display.

This garden is deceptively small, measuring a mere 7 x 8m. Our aim was to create a beautiful, useable space where one could spend many hours relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. The first step was for us to create a 3D model of the design...

Palm trees and flowering plants such as Agapanthus nana and Westringias surround the garden, the movement of palm leaves in the breeze provides a relaxing atmosphere - your very own paradise.

A steel structure provides a halo above the garden. The steel is covered with wooden planks in order to create an interesting pattern, which is repeated in the pool and the braai design.

Many weeks of hard work was needed to bring the design to reality... this is what the the completed garden looks like...
